Everyone working at the Museum is a volunteer. Whether working ‘back stage’ in the library or collection room or ‘front of house’ welcoming visitors and creating exhibitions we all contribute to the recording and understanding of Frome’s heritage.
Frome Heritage Museum encourages engagement with local schools so that children grow up in the town appreciating their environment and the history of the area, as well as its exciting potential.
Frome Museum is run entirely by volunteers and a range of interesting opportunities are available.
The Museum is based in Frome, a small, but quickly growing, town at the far eastern edge of the county of Somerset, dating back to at least 685AD.
The Museum normally has several projects in progress, run by teams of volunteers.
Donations & Legacies
We rely entirely on voluntary donations to keep the Museum open for the local community and for visitors and researchers from all over the world.
Please support us if you can. Thank you.
