Opening times

We are open from 10am to 2pm Tuesdays to Saturdays, from mid-March to mid-November. We are also open on Frome Independent Market Sundays.

Ticket prices

Entry is free, but we depend on the generosity of visitors to remain open, so please consider leaving a donation. Thank you.

Getting here & finding us

The museum is located in the centre of Frome, next to the main Market Yard car park, and is clearly signposted.

Please note that we do not have our own car park.

Group visits

We welcome school and other group visits throughout the year. However to avoid disappointment and make the most of your visit please contact us in advance by phone 01373 454611 or e-mailing info@frome-museum.org to arrange your trip.

Facilities

We do not have a cafe or a toilet.

There are several cafes and coffee shops nearby.

There are public toilets, including a disabled toilet, in the Market Yard car park behind the museum.

Accessibility

Regrettably, our Grade II listed building is not suitable for wheelchair access.

Visitors who use walking sticks will need to take care moving between galleries.

There are two steps up to the entrance and two more between our exhibition galleries.

The Museum stewards are on hand to help is required.

Taking Photos

Photos can be taken for personal use but not for commercial use without permission.

Research

The Library/Archive is open to researchers throughout the year. Please phone 01373 454611 or email info@frome-museum.org to arrange an appointment.

Donating items

We are delighted to receive donations of items relevant to Frome and the surrounding villages.

However, we reserve the right to refuse any item and also to re-disperse certain items as required.

Safety

The safety of our visitors and volunteers is paramount.

Please respect all the signage and follow directions given by staff members.
